K-Pg Boundary sample

"Okay, I'm not really that interested in fossils or minerals. What I really like is little glass tubes of earth. Do you have anything along those lines?" I get that a lot. So for all you mud-junkies, these are samples of the K-Pg Boundary.

Once called the KT Boundary, the extra letter in its name hasn't changed its happy-go-lucky outlook on life as a layer of soil. Its cheery demeanor belies its dark past, though - this line in the sand marks the death of the dinosaurs in all but birdy form. A memorial to a tragic day for the planet.
