Myophorella

Beautifully detailed marine clams of the Trigoniid family, Myophorella clavellata, 163 million years old, from Torres Vedras in Portugal. These shells have a pattern of little bumps across their valves and the preservation shows these very nicely.

Roughly 6cm across.
