Carcharocles megalodon tooth

Carcharocles megalodon, or just plain meg to its friends, was a real monster of the deep. They could grow up to 60 feet long and had a mouth that could swallow you whole. Their teeth are found in a few localities around the world; these are from the rivers of South Carolina, where they are dug from the soft Miocene sediments by divers.

There are many collectors of these teeth and a number of factors will affect the value. Obviously, size is the main consideration, but colour, serration and enamel condition are also influential.

£100 examples measure roughly 9.5cm along diagonal, tip to end of root. There is always a good range of sizes/prices in stock, so please feel free to give us a call if you want to find out more.
