Eruptions

Tungurahua in Ecuador has been an active volcano since 1999, but this last week has seen a number of violent eruptions. Aside from the obvious need for people to avoid molten rock and flying boulders, the ash spewed out by the ton can be a huge problem. The first major eruption forced 15,000 people out of their homes for a year, and the clean-up operation is a massive task.
