To the hills!

For the first time in what seems like ages, I'm going out fossil hunting. This Sunday I'll be out in the Pentlands with a group from Edinburgh and I'm really looking forward to it. It's a Silurian site and we'll be looking for corals, bivalves and brachiopods as well as bits of trilobite. There are some less common beasties there, but they're... you know... rare.

It's probably going to be muddy, and most likely it'll rain a lot. Good field geology should always be undertaken in the worst possible weather. That's one of the rules. If I remember to charge my camera, I'll take some photos and put them on the Mr Wood's Fossils Facebook page.
