Photo of Diplomystus fossil

Diplomystus was the pike of its day, feeding on the smaller fishes of the Green River lakes. Examples have been found with remains of the last meals preserved in the stomach, and even asphyxiation cases, where the predator has choked to death on its prey.

Examples have been found over 60cm long, but they are commonly found between 6-13cm. At this price, most will be 6-9cm.
