Calcites

Mexico

Bright vividly coloured calcites from different sites in Mexico. The colour is natural, and it has been acid washed to clean it up. The standard sized lump is around 5cm max dimension, but we sometimes have larger pieces available. £2.50 and £3.50.

Hemimorphite

China
This mineral has a distinctive deep turquoise colour and a textured crystalline surface. Hemimorphite is found all around the world, but colour of this quality is not common. £22.50

Larimar

Barahona, Dominican Republic
This prized stone is only commercially available from one site in the world. It is mostly used for jewellery, where it is growing in popularity as it becomes more widely known. It is a blue pectolite in chalcedony. As with most jewellery stones, it is graded for quality, and
prices reflect this. £6.50 and £8.

Malachite

Kalukuluku, DR Congo
This copper mineral is a stunning deep green, and its layered formation creates an intricate banding, brought out when polished. A favourite. £2.20 to £75.

Sulphur

El Desierto, Bolivia
Bright yellow crystals of sulphur on a crumbly grey matrix. This is
formed in areas of volcanic activity. £4.50.
